Notes:
--This has been a sucky year for college football. After placing Louisville at #6 this week, I looked at the remaining list of teams and felt.......incredibly underwhelmed. Has nationwide parity finally struck? Is this some weird year in the zodiac? Who knows. There just hasn't been a lot of good football played in '06. That's all.

ranking hawaii above penn state? in what way does that make sense?

Here's how it makes sense...Hawaii is 10-2, Penn St is 8-4...Penn St has beaten exactly 1 team with a winning record....and most importantly, I think Hawaii would beat Penn St head to head.

The fact that you rank Big Ten Penn State who lost to, OSU, Mich, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin whos combined record is 44-4 is fine. Even though we could go into the age old debate of putting any team in the BigTen in that conference and they would win it every year. But the fact that you really think that Hawaii could beat Penn State is ridiculous. Surely you don't consider Michigan and Ohio States offenses to be less dominant that Hawaii's and Penn State if they had a half decent quarterback would have won both of those games becuase of their defense keeping these offenses in check.

Sorry, no "ifs". Morelli is PSU's QB, for good and bad. And he's a part of the reason why I think Hawaii would beat PSU.

Penn State's 4 losses are to top 15 teams. That's admirable. The problem is, they have just one win over a winning team, and 7-wins over scrubs.

Hawaii has beaten 3-teams with winning records, including a Purdue team that Penn St also beat.
