Out of Conference Report Delayed

I really need to do some research first before promising things. There's still one non-conference game to be played by a BCS league team next Saturday, and there are still 15 other games scheduled this weekend (actually, starting today) as well. That means 32 teams will have updated W/L records next Sunday which will affect many parts of my analysis. Ergo, I shall wait until next week to post the final regular season Out of Conference Report.

This Week at ACCFR

I just started a new job and it's rapidly taking up a lot of time. I've got a just-sprung-on-me business trip to exotic Birmingham tomorrow and I'll get back home on Wednesday. The newest Out of Conference Report will be up either late tonight, or more likely on Wednesday afternoon. There won't be any weekend recap because I just don't have the time for it this week, and you saw what I saw anyway.

Thankfully, there's no ACC Thursday night game this week so the Week 9 Preview/Wildly Incorrect Predictions Showcase should go off without a hitch by Friday.

In case you're wondering

No "Out of Conference Report" this week...I don't have time to compile it and there are a handful non-conference games on the slate in BCS leagues this upcoming weekend. Look for an updated edition next Tuesday.

The FSU-NC State preview will be posted tomorrow, and the remainder of this weekend's previews will be up on Friday.

...And We're Back

Well, back in the sense that I'm actually posting again. No real content to deliver this time, other than a loose schedule of what to expect in the coming weeks and months prior to Kickoff 2008.

The following is a loose and generic plan for ACCFR in the next few weeks:

--The final "Out of Conference Report" for '07, promised approximately six months ago and then abandoned because I was too depressed and disgusted at the ACC's bowl crapformance. I shall deliver this long awaited analysis this Friday or Saturday.

--Team previews: starting next week (July 7). Look for two per week. I won't reveal which team and when, in order to maintain a semblance of searing anticipation.

--Overall conference preview: mid-August.

--Random features and ramblings: starting next week.

My apologies for the lack of content over these last months...life has been wacky lately, and the burnout from 2007 has been longer and deeper than expected. But rest assured, I can feel the ol' juices flowing again.

Official ACC Mourning Period is Over

Or, more accurately, I foresee some free time in the next few days to resume semi-regular blogging.

What to look for in the next few weeks, at highly irregular intervals:

--the gruesome, final '07 Out of Conference Report
--my boring and not very groundbreaking, yet nonetheless correct bowl/national championship plan
--my diagnosis of the ACC's football ills and a prescription for a return to health
--absolutely no recruiting insight; I find that whole focus a tad unseemly, at least until signing day
