Election + Job = no time for blogging

This will be a light week here at ACCFR, as my attention has been focused on pesky little things like choosing the leader of the free world and putting in the hours at the new job. There probably won't be a weekend recap or a Week 11 Preview so try not to get too choked up. I'll check back in on Sunday or Monday.

From the Department of the Abundantly Obvious

I am on hiatus, or perhaps more accurately in hibernation, given the near total lack of updates the past two months.

My 2007 college football detox is complete, but I still don't quite have the hankering to re-indulge myself in all the offseason news and shenanigans just yet. I will start my 2008 preview sometime in June, so in the meantime try not to miss me too much.

Out 'til Monday

Alas, work and other pressing necessities are going to occupy a great deal of my time for the rest of the week, so ACCFR will be on hiatus until next Monday or thereabouts. A weekend recap, Out of Conference Report update, coaching carousel musing, and a look at possible media bias for and against certain conferences will be posted next week.

In the meantime, let's all take a break from football and allow the formerly brilliant George Carlin (before he got irretrievably bitter and unpleasant) to entertain and enlighten. I've been listening to some of my old Carlin comedy tapes (yeah, tapes) lately and they've reminded me what a genius the man was with observational and wordplay humor. Enjoy...

We're Going to Disney World...

That's right sports fans. The in-laws are in town this weekend, so the wife and I are being the ever gracious hosts and spiriting them away to Walt Disney World (just 1 hour's drive from here, and then a 1 hour slog just to get into the infernal park). As such, this blog won't be updated until Monday night/Tuesday morning.

I'll be travelling quite a bit over the next few weeks, so posting may be sporadic-to-non-existent for the time being. I'll try to update if any ACC news breaks, otherwise I shall return for the bowls.

Apologies for the lack o' posts this week. And, it won't get much better for another week or so; I've got to make sure everything's all neat and tidy at work because the wife, in-laws, and I are heading out on a cruise starting Monday. I'm sure I'll have access to this internet thingy on board, but I plan on being in an inebriated state for much of next week, so my attention will likely be focused on not falling overboard and thereby becoming a Dateline NBC/Court TV cruise ship mystery feature. Ergo, the Chronicles will be on hiatus starting Sunday evening.
