Random thoughts from yesterday

• Calvin Johnson is so very good. As mgoblog so deftly pointed out last week, the only thing that can stop him is...Reggie Ball.
• Virginia Tech is quite good, but #11 is as high a ranking as they'll see this season. Hello 9-3ville.
• I think Duke is purposely trying to get kicked out of 1-A football. They lost 37-0 to a UVA team that will be 4-8 at best this year, and drew less than 10k for the game.
• Miami is going through the motions in the Larry Coker Death March. Hello 8-4/7-5ville.
• The first titanic matchup in the ACC this season is next week as Clemson tees it up against 5-0 Wake Forest!
• I'm starting to see why the BC bloggers are so down on Tom O'Brien. Teams tend to take on the personality of their coach and the Eagles can be so very dull to watch, even when the games themselves are entertaining.
